THIS IS MY SON
The heavens were opened unto Jesus
And like a dove the Holy Spirit came
The Father's voice sounded with distinction
And announced the Lord's ancestral fame.
Soon He would journey into the wilderness
To be tried and tempted along the way
He'd take no food and would not sleep
For forty long nights, and days.
BUT WE CAN REJOICE!
Our Lord was triumphant, victorious, conquering all
As the Word of God resisted with ease
Now the evil one must depart from He
In whom God is very well pleased.
Will you be victorious in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ? Will you take up the shield of faith and combat the enemy as He did? Yes, I believe you will because you will hurl that great sword at him, the all-powerful Word of God. Know in your heart that the evil one is defeated ... that he has no power over you ... that he is a fallen enemy ... and all because of God's great love for you through our Lord Jesus Christ. Be victorious! Be strong! Take heart! Christ has already won the battle! Now, it is time to demonstrate your love and gratitude to Him. Let Him know that you, too, are very well pleased.
